I’ve just spent a couple of hours on a great forum that is specifically aimed at vacation rental owners called Lay My Hat.
It’s obviously been around for a few years and there are some very frequent contributors – I guess you could call someone whose made over 4000 posts a frequent contributor! Although the forum members are mostly owners of holiday properties in UK and Europe, they all have the same issues as we do here in Ontario. There are some great threads, with discussions on marketing a rental home; how to manage bookings; what to do when a renter damages your property, amongst countless others.
There don’t seem to be many Canadian members and there isn’t even a separate home for us in the regional sector, so let’s get in there and show the Maple Leaf.

Thanks for suggesting Lay My Hat. I had not been on it prior to your post. It’s a great forum.
Mike – Yes, it’s been around for some time too. It seems most of the folks on there are from UK and Europe but, my goodness, some of their properties are lovely.
